Prologue

(Sometime in the future)

Soft snowfall shattered the moments she sat alone, in front of the silent cross. Her gaze filled with tears as she fell to the ground, calling out the name she swore she’d forget… the name of the one she loved and lost. Before this day she had never understood why her heart felt so broken, so alone. Though now as she fell further to the ground, hugging the blood red rose close to her, the scene of the car crashing into the semi, crushing the girl she loved within came flooding back into her mind like sharp needles stabbing into her heart. Then she saw a younger looking version of herself running after her beloved, watching in terror as that one girl she loved was crushed to her death, and finally the dark day, there her beloved lay inside the dark casket, as it was laid into the ground, a small Stone cross stand tall at the head of the grave, markings on the stone read,

“Here lies
Seraphina Rosalinda Raven-Glade
1995-2020
A Beloved daughter, friend, and lover,
may she rest in peace”

The tears she cried faded, just like the inscription on the gravestone. Shattered remains of what was that same rose, lay scattered around her as she welcomed the cold in like an old friend lost through the years. Voices calling to her, telling her to stop this, to go home and live her life, faded in and out of her mind, but she didn’t listen. She just continued laying there underneath the trees in the old graveyard. Even as the year passed by she kept on going, and even as she grew thinner and weaker, she stayed in her place. Until finally at the end of spring, the usual cold winds left, replaced with the warmer winds of summer, and there she lay, on the brink of death, when the voice she loved the most finally came to her, “Selena you are on the brink of death, and you still haven’t moved on, please, don’t waste you’re life, get help, turn you’re life around, and move on, please… for me.”
Selena refused to move, even if it was her beloved she did not want to forget her, she didn’t think she could ever move on. "I... I don't want to forget you though," she said, as she saw the faint ghostly shape of Seraphina.
She felt the ghostly warmth on her left shoulder, but as she tried to touch the hand she passed right through it, and then it was gone.
And that’s when, All those memories, the regrets, the pain, the lies, disappeared, as the world faded to black….

‘Oww… my head hurts so much, I must have hit the gravestone when I passed out, or something,’
she thought before she realized something… She was not in the graveyard, she was in…her old house, the one she had with Seraphina. She tried to get up from the bed, but it felt as if something was wrapped around her waist, and it felt…warm. Trembling, she looked down, and as she somewhat expected, There lay Seraphina, looking just as she did in 2013. ‘Holy crap I’m back… back to before it started. Somehow she brought me back, here 7 years ago,’ she thought, a smile finally resting upon her face.
Resting her left hand upon Seraphina’s she laid back down. ‘Maybe she meant for this to be my chance to keep things from happening.’ she thought, peacefully closing her eyes, wrapping her arms around Seraphina’s slender waist.
